Administrative Assistant (PT)

Harmony is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated administrative assistant to join our team. As an administrative assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Harmony team and helping to ensure the organization’s smooth operation. The ideal candidate will primarily provide administrative support, manage social media channels, and assist with basic website updates. The position is part-time, 20-25 hours per week. Hours can be flexible. A significant part of this position can be done remotely; any in-person work will occur at the Harmony office in Downtown Raleigh, NC. Applicants must have their own transportation and be local to the Raleigh area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Harmony Executive Team and Board of Directors, including managing schedules, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Manage Harmony’s social media channels, including creating and scheduling content, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring engagement.
  • Assist with basic website updates using WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Respond to member and public inquiries, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Help with planning, organizing, and executing events and meetings.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing email newsletters and other communications.
  • Assist with membership recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all Harmony activities using Harmony’s CRM.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
  • Experience managing social media channels for a business or organization.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of website updates and management using WordPress or similar platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an administrative role.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and email marketing platforms.
 
Work Hours: Flexible, but timely responses/execution of tasks is essential. For instance, responses to email inquiries may be done in the late evening, but it needs to be within the same day the inquiry was received.
Commitment: 20-25 hours per week, long-term.
Timeline: We are looking to hire ASAP. The resume submission period is 7/11/23-7/25/23. Interview and selection will take place shortly thereafter.
Classification: Part-time, W-2 employee.
Pay: $15/hour, no benefits.
